This rocks. Everyone, spam the word and see if you can get it going yourself :)

Work? We started the day with more of the same (peeling microwaves) but finished all those by our first break.

Then it was back to what we did the first 2 days I was there - checking for cracked grilles, and replacing them (for the models we had replacements for, at least). I spent almost all my time just cutting open boxes for the people doing the inspections... they can be bloody fast.
Went well though. More of the same tomorrow.

Went to gaming tonight. Played a disturbingly difficult game with an incredibly innocuous name.

Who would have thought that a board game with a name like "Bus" (yes, the name of the game is that one word) would be so damn brain-melting?
No Monday night gaming next week, tis Labour day.

Why the fuck am I still awake?
This song is pretty. *hugs his [livejournal.com profile] anrakushi for sending it to him*

Dunno about you, but in my case, I think (nay, KNOW) it's the Willow Creek wine / LA FIN DU MONDE beer / Amber Ale / Hawaiian coffee that I consumed as part of dinner. (no, you don't want to see me drunk, hahahahahahaha...)

*snugsmooches* Does that mean we'll all probably be on Monday? ;) You know what we haven't done in ages? Game. :-P That usually gets all of us chattering.

Next Monday? Um...can you have two people connected at once with a dial-up connection?

Hopefully we can figure something out, because gaming would be tons of fun. :):)

*giggles* well, I know with Gaim you can have multiple accounts in the same service signed in at once, I think you can on trillian... You'd just have to take turns :-P
*smooches* Then again, you're probably going to be FAR too busy to mess with that. ;)

*snickers*

Yeah, we could take turns on the same comp. Would just be more convenient not to have to.

The EASY solution, of course, would just be to be signed in with both Trillian AND Gaim... makes it much harder to mix up the windows that way, as they would look completely different.

The problem would be sharing the computer chair, and the fact all my maps and notes and such would be on the screen as well.

In short, alas, it ain't gonna work.

And if you mean "Two separate computers at once"? Going to work even less. That would require 2 phone lines, for starters.

Yeah, the two separate computers is what I meant. It's been a while since I've had dial-up, but I didn't think that was something that could be done.

If I was REALLY crackmonkey 1337 and stuph, I could try setting up Internet Connection Sharing to share the dialup connection.

The problem is that it would require both our computers to be networked.

Seeing as I have no idea how to do either... I doubt it's happening.

No worries. :) It's only a few weeks until I'm back in school, anyway.

I'll probably be busy with other things on Monday anyways.

As for Game, I was planning to push and get that restarted once everyone was back in school and settled with schedules. Alli's not back to school for a couple weeks.

*chuckles* good. I miss playing. As long as I know it hasn't gotten forgotten about, it's all good. *snugsmooches*

Well, we started just before school ended. And then people got out of school and into work, and everyone's schedules clashed terribly at that point... so it just kind of died by default.

I was miffed at first, but as the summer went on, I noticed how so many things between us all had basically turned to absolute shit, and realized it was SUMMER to blame for things.

So I just silently mentally shelved it, waiting for people to get back to class and schedules to stabilize, and then I was going to spring it on you all.

Worry not.

Of course, now MY schedule is the one that may be the problem. Heh.

*chuckles* Worry? Me? Never! :-P Nah, you're on predictably enough that we can play once everyone gets back to school. *resents starting school so freaking early*

I'm not on very long though... A lot of nights I'm only on for like 2-3 hours and then pass out. And spend a lot of that catching up on LJ/email. Weekends are likely the only good times for me.

Oh well, we'll see what happens.

Yeah, that's the line that really does it.
Still very much hooked on Montana though.
Well, on craploads of stuff.

To this day, I have liked EVERYTHING you have ever sent me, and most of it a lot.

That's a bloody record.

Ah, okay, that's not too bad then.

I actually have a game starting in about a week, I don't know how often I'll be able to make it though, but the DM is willing to NPC my character when I can't make it. :)

And then a friend from school and I have been planning on getting a Trent D&D group running in the fall for a long time. So I could theoreticallty have two games to make up for the deprivation.

My biggest problem... work. Work = weekdays, and I'm often not home till 7ish. And need to be in bed by midnight. Not a very long time slot.
So this really mean that just weekends are availiable.
Weekends? I have kiddo.

Bah.

Hah, same here. I've been working all day, five days a week all summer, and then I do the same thing throught the school year. Mike & the guys I'm playing with get two days a week off, not necessarily weekends. Add to that the fact that I need to get an evening-and-weekend-type job once school starts, and you understand why my character will sometimes be an NPC.

By the way, if you're online to post this, why aren't you on AIM?

As I mentioned in a more recent post, I'm heading off for a nap. I was just finishing catching up on my email (including LJ comment emails) before doing so.

AIM would keep me from napping.
