I'm sure you're all getting tired of it, but hey... it's my livejournal, I'll act like a sap if I want to.
So it was decided that on Friday, Christine and I would head straight from class to my place for the evening, and she would leave on one of the late busses. It's very nice that she can leave here at 12:30am, walk for 12 minutes down a hill and then hop a bus which drops her off literally 5 minutes from her door. And that's Monday to Saturday. On Sunday it's 11:30 instead.
Right... there was a lot of drama at class that day. On wednesday (day 2) there was a conflict between the teacher and one student who was just the perfect blend of obnoxious, obstinate and just plain stupid. We were on a short week and had to do extra work to catch up, and she spent 45 minutes of class time asking the same 5 questions over and over and over again, either ignoring or simply not understanding the answers.
On Thursday, she wasn't in class, but we saw her in the lobby as we left. Thought it was odd. On Friday, the teacher announced that for reasons which could not be explained (confidentiality), Karen (the dense woman) would not be returning to the class.
5 minutes later, Karen walks in the door and sits down as if nothing had happened. Cue obvious drama. She was led out of the class by the teacher, and we thought that was the end of it. WRONG! So break time rolls around, and everyone gravitates to the back outside area for smokes and chat. Except that when we open the door, we see Karen being questioned by a cop. YEAH. So everyone goes out front instead.
Still no real explanation, but formal apologies were extended. The mood was a bit odd for the rest of the day, but we ended with a funny video (The Joy of Stress) and got out an hour and a half early. And sure enough, it's not pissing cats and dogs. More like elephants and giraffes. Ugh. Rain. And no umbrella. But we made it back without melting, and all was well. On top of this all, several of the people in class seemed to have decided that Christine and I were a couple, despite the fact we weren't. Well... they weren't that far off.
The first while we spent just chatting and such. She fawned over my computer, and over the incredibly cute kitten pictures I showed her. She got to check her email (since her phone has been disconnected, she had trouble doing that, duh) and do some stuff. I also introduced her to You Don't Know Jack, and she was an instant convert. Sure, I totally wiped the floor with her (despite waiting over 5 seconds before buzzing in on anything as a handicap), but she loved it.
She went out regularly for smoke breaks (yes, she smokes. Yes, she's gotten the lecture. Yes, it's only outside. Yes, I normally don't like smokers, but she's an exception) where we would talk more, about any number of things. She's told me about her other relationship - one which is a secret for a number of reasons, and pretty well only us 3 know - and of course I'm all cool with that. She's not sure where she stands with it, because he's not very forthcoming about his feelings or anything.
One thing I did a lot of was shake nervously, something she noticed all the time and mocked me about (didn't bother me at all). But hey, it's me, I get nervous. Thankfully she set the stage by just randomly brushing my arm and such earlier, being affectionate and such, so I became more comfortable with doing similar things. But I still shook, and she still laughed. And then she said "really, there's no reason to be nervous. You know, maybe you'd have a reason if I just went and did this." Whereupon she grabbed my crotch O_O
And... if you know me... you should be able to predict my reaction to that. Which was to go speechless and shake more. Which naturally just made her laugh more. But, well... the stage was set. A bit more chat and stuff back and forth... and then we had sex. And that's all I'll say about that here. If you must know more, you can just IM me (and I will share, if you wish) :p
The rest of the night was mostly more of the same stuff, games, chat, raiding my cupboards... she's a coffee fiend, and I had some, so I gave her some to go home with. As well as this Stetson cologe/aftershave set I got for xmas last year... I never use that stuff, but she's absolutely ADDICTED to the scent of Stetson. Her plans are to spray her pillow every so often :)
She seemed surprised that I forcibly dragged her back into the bedroom a half hour before she had to leave. She figured I wanted a quickie. Instead, I gave her what she wanted (but didn't know she wanted). Took her shirt off, laid her face down on the bed, undid her bra, and subjected her to 12 solid minutes of back massage before my arms started complaining.
After that, we didn't have a quickie, packed up and I walked her to the bus stop. We talked for a bit, and I brought up "so, uh, what exactly are we?"
She's not looking for a full-on serious relationship right now (but neither was I), but she does like being close to me. So we're basically (in my words) a few steps above fuckbuddies, and a couple steps short of an all-out relationship. Despite that, I'm not sure whether it's appropriate to call her my girlfriend. I'll have to ask her next time I see her.
And thus ended Friday night.
Saturday morning, I was awoken by her voice on the phone - she was babysitting for a friend and on his phone. I eventually made my way over to her place in the afternoon, where I spent several hours chatting with her, and playing with her daughter Cheyenne.
Cheyenne is 6 years old, autistic, ADHD and has a severe speech impairment (mental). They're working on getting a speech pathologist.
She's a very physical and hyper girl, often disobedient... but she's also very affectionate, and took quite a liking to me. I'd been there less than half an hour, and she was asking me for "big hugs". Which led into bouncing her on my knee, random snuggling, and dancing randomly with her.
She's definately a lot of work, and would be rather hard for most people to handle... but I like her a lot.
Christine isn't sure if she's babysitting tomorrow, but will likely let me know by phone if she is. So I may see her again tomorrow. Don't know.
And... that's where it stands.
