Been a busy day

It was food bank day, so I headed on up to get some food, tide us over a week till I get some more money. Of course, today has to have NO clouds, 90+ degree heat (extremely rare around here) and no breeze. And here I have a 40 minute UPHILL walk to the food bank. Oh yay.

But it was well worth it, good haul this week, including a few dozen assorted bagels (I'm munching on some jalapeno bagels now and DAMN are they good!) and 2 dozen eggs (getting a half dozen eggs is something that happens maybe twice a year, so 2 dozen is just WOW). Packed everything up and slogged 40 minutes in the blazing heat home (downhill this time, thankfully)

Oh, I should mention that since the optician's was on the way to the FB, I stopped in and picked up my NEW GLASSES! Woo! Took me about half an hour to adjust to them, but they're NICE. I'm a happy boy. They're very similar to my old ones, but instead of a pale tortoiseshell pattern, these are just plain black. I like. Piccies follow, but you may not be able to see much. Ces't la vie.

Then I talked to Summer - she's off to college tomorrow at 7am. Yikes! She's told me she'll get in touch with me ASAP once she's able. I dearly hope so...

I'm munching on the aforementioned jalepeno bagels (They are REALLY good!) to settle my stomach (and symbolically thumb my nose at the Atkins diet - mmmmmmmmm CARBS!) and working on my project. Erin's busy so I have no one to chat with right now, but she'll be back in a while, and maybe my Hedo will say hi.

Damn, my back hurts. That backpack was HEAVY. And tomorrow I have to do a bunch of running around. Blah. And then deal with welfare. BLAH!
